The Beginning! (part 1)

I think Zack's mission story begins back on August 27, 2009. That is the day he had his patriarchal blessing. After that day he knew then that he wanted to serve a mission and that he would serve in Italy. So he let this just rattle around in his head for a while. He turned 19 in September and those thoughts were still in there rattling around. His days consisted of work, food, motorcycle, friends, family, and video games. So life was pretty good. But after a while Zack got bored. Him and a friend decided to plan a trip and before he knew it he was off to New Zealand visiting family and falling in love with both the family and the country. While visiting he mentioned a mission and also told family there that he would probably go to Italy. He stayed there for 1 month and returned home just in time for Christmas. We began to hear more and more of "when I go on my mission..." or "I'll be gone for two years you better be nice to me". So by about January those mission thoughts were still rattling about but causing more noise! Shortly after returning home he was able to sell his motorcycle. His only means of transportation was his jeep which quickly broke after that. So now he was carless and could only borrow his Dads beater Honda Civic for when he went to work. Life was getting pretty boring after a fabulous trip and coming home to no motorcycle..no car...and much boredom. He began to start hearing of friends getting their mission calls some were called to Hawaii, Chili, Mongolia, Ivory Coast, and Belgium. Zach decided it was time to fill out the paperwork.
