Hows everyone doing in the cold weather?
ok prima io ho un bello storia per voi....siete pronti?
Ok yesterday was Tuesday...we taught enrico (i will get a photo with him asap!!!!)
Quick enrico background.......
he is 37 years old, about a foot shorter than me. he was
baptized in february, he is disabled but he is still there (kinda) (gimpy arm is part of it)
he used to be gay, he just broke up with his first girlfriend (now there are some serious cwazy stories there but not appropriate) and he sees spirites
nothing big!
he also stood up in priest quorum one day and told everyone he sees these spirits and they talk to him..
We had just taught him about the law of chastity and word of wisdom the time before so this time we taught him about the law of decima (tithing....) and a little bit about fasting.....so we finish the lesson and he turns to my companion, and asks how are you doing. he replies a little tired. enrico says ok whats your first name. and he stands up next to him (we both instantly thought he was going to give a blessing!!!! ahhhhhh) so we kept asking why he needed the first name. we finally gave it to him and then he says do you trust me (to anz higgs) higgs replies "uhhh si" engirco goes over puts his hands on anz higgs head and starts saying these crazy things softly to him self neither of us can hear him or understand it. he than moves his hands down to his shoulders and down to his elbows the takes his hands off and does this flicking thing with his fingers and makes them snap (very hard to describe over email)...hands go back on head and down to his elbows again...does that about 4 times all while chanting some crazy thing. (in the meantime me and anziano higgs are looking at each other trying as hard as we can not to burst out laughing at this). he than finishes and he is standing behind higgs and he throws down the catholic cross prayer thingy (He has been baptized...but all our members here still have a bit of there past religion in them) we ask him what did you just do? enrico replied how do you feel? anz higgs said uhhhhh...calm i guess. Enrico says i have a gift, i transmit this gift through my hands, enrico asks me to hold out my hand he puts his hand over my wrist (not touching) and he is like what do you feel. i reply uhh nothing. he asks again..same reply (he was disappointed i didnt feel the power flowing out of his hands!!!!!!!!!).
my favorite person is elena i have met with her several times before she is what you would call an eternal investigator (more interested in the company of the missionaries than the church)
she is amazing though. she speaks a gazzillion languages, french, english, italian, arabic, german, spanish, portugeese (yes portu-geese, no lo so come scrivere) hebrew, latin, and who knows how many others.
but she is awesome and i get to speak english with her!!! she is about 40, divorced, she has one kid and she has traveled all over the world, she used to be a tour guide in utah for zion park and up to salt lake, she has been to island park she stayed there at a friends cabin friend (as in ben affleck his cabin.)
she teaches english and wants us to go teach english with her one day...at an actual high school!! that would be....very interesting. but she says alot of her students dont trust her and her english.
she took us out to eat at my favorite pizza place the other night (la perla) soooo goood!! best pizza in italy!
and overall she is an amazing person really.
then we have our investigators.....hmmm kinda have 1 at the moment but havent seen him in a while....soooo ya.....
winter is late this year! all the weather is messed up here....(second coming!!!!) but it should be starting to arrive soon....one day it was hot the next it dropped 18 degrees celcius!!! it was a chilly day! very fast drop.
I have been invited.......to go to MILANO again (ugh) to see anziano (elder) Gonzales from the 70 give a talk to us anziani! yay!!!.
i figure since that is all i really have to say now.....i will tell you my plan for this week...
tomorrow i will be in Torino for awhile trying to get my companions permesso figured out and renewed (green card...yes i have one...mine is good for 2 years i am very lucky)
during that we will meet up with anzi Minà e anz Angel as we are putting together a stake halloween party (missionary style)
then friday...niente
poi sabato PINEROLO!!!! then after we get back from pinerolo we have a dinner appointement with this really nice member she is from china speaks italian (chinese is better so i gotta learn cinese) (cina=china, cinese=???) and she is cooking us dinner!!! she called us today for that!!! yay!!! that doesnt happen very much im usually cooking all my food.
Well that is all....no new purchases........or were there??? duh duh dunnnnnn...
