What an amazing day today was! We finally got everything packed and ready to go. Zack woke up about 9:30 of course! Everyone was meeting here at 10:00 so I guess he thought he could get all the sleep he could until the very last minute! We loaded everything and every one into the cars and they all took off. But Zack was still in the house so I went to check on him and he said "I got a sore stomach and gotta go to the bathroom!" It looks like the nerves finally kicked in. Once he was done with that he said I think I really might throw up like Taylor said! But he was fine and we headed down to MiMi's Cafe in Orem for breakfast. Zack was pretty quiet during breakfast but we finally all got him laughing again. After that we drove up to the Provo temple and when I came around that bend to see the MTC it was like there was truly an army of young missionaries! It was awesome. They were everywhere!!! We had barely got out of the car at the temple when a group of elders hollered at Zack and said "Welcome Elder, where you going?" Right then and there I knew this was the greatest thing in the world for Zack. After picture taking we walked down to the corner by the MTC to take pictures by the MTC sign but it had been removed due to traffic problems it was causing!!! So we just hung out on the lawn and gave a million more hugs. More Elders walked by welcoming Zack. They said there were 85 of them in their group going to Russia. I could have hugged them all for making Zack feel so welcome. We decided to all load into the pickup and drive Zack to the MTC in hillbilly style. We piled in just as more Elder ran up to Zack while he was getting in the truck and shook his hand and said "Welcome Elder!" Once we were up to the MTC we were told to pull up to #1. Seriously couldn't we have had number 40 or something so that I could have my son in the car with me a little bit longer!!! But no we were dropping him off that instant! The Elders were there to greet him and take his bags. I loved that the Elder helping him was Tongan. We all yelled goodbye and we love you as he was walking toward the building. The pictures of Zack smiling while getting ready to walk in tell it all! It was an amazing and beautiful day!
